It's been just over a month since Tech Forum and ebookcraft 2019 came and went — in the blink of an eye, it felt like. But not to fear, we're hard at work putting together the videos of (almost) all the sessions. So hard at work, in fact, that we've already edited and added closed captioning to eight session videos: two from ebookcraft and six from Tech Forum.
Let's start with the ebookcraft videos: The Past, Present, and Future of Digital Publishing, a talk by Dave Cramer, Senior Digital Publishing Technology Specialist at Hachette Book Group, and Who Does What to Make Great EPUB? How to Build an Airplane in Mid-Air presented by Sabina Iseli-Otto, Public Services Librarian at the National Network for Equitable Library Service, and Shannon Culver, Manager of Technology at eBOUND Canada.
Watch both videos in this playlist:
From Tech Forum day, we've got:
Live Podcast Recording of Minorities in Publishing with host Jennifer Baker and Jael Richardson, Artistic Director at the Festival of Literary Diversity;
How Publishing is Attacking the Diversity Problem: A Data-Driven Approach, presented by Ashleigh Gardner, Deputy General Manager, Wattpad Studios, Publishing;
Speccing the Void: Adventures in the Audiobooks Abyss from Wendy Reid, Senior QA Analyst at Rakuten Kobo Inc.;
Best Practices in the Production & Distribution of Audiobooks from Jessica Albert, Art Director & Digital Production Manager at ECW Press and Brendan Ouellette, Digital Project Manager at Annick Press;
The Audiobook's Tale, a talk from Tricia McCraney, Projects Consultant at Virtusales Publishing Solutions; and
Case Study: Penguin Random House Canada's Audiobook Program, an interview with Penguin Random House Canada's Marion Garner, Deputy Publisher, and Ann Jansen, Director of Audiobook Production, moderated by Zalina Alvi, Marketing and Communications Manager at BookNet Canada.
