Books we're thankful for: Thanksgiving's top 10

It's almost the second Monday of October, which means it's time to talk turkey. Since we're BookNet, that means finding out what the bestselling Thanksgiving titles were in 2017 to help booksellers stock up for the holiday.

We looked at sales throughout 2017 for Juvenile Non-Fiction and Fiction books with a Thanksgiving-related BISAC subject code as reported in BNC SalesData (which tracks print sales in the English-language trade market). We found that the top sellers were fairly frontlist-heavy β€” eight of the titles were published in 2017. Only two titles were backlist: one was published in 2004 (Thanks for Thanksgiving) and another was published in 2016 (A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving). All 10 of the top sellers were either published in August or September.
