BookNet Canada is holding a conference this fall in Vancouver. Tech Forum West 2011: Reboot the Book is on October 18th, to coincide with the Vancouver International Writers Festival.
The BookNet staff travel to Vancouver several times a year but we rarely get the chance to put on our own event when we’re there. We’re thrilled it worked out this year and for that we need to thank the ABPBC for all their help and generous sponsorship.
If you already came to Technology Forum in March, don’t worry. This ain’t no rerun! The program is completely new. The focus will be on enhancements and apps, which enhancements don’t interrupt the narrative, which apps do readers appreciate, how have publishers used enhancement and what has the reception been like? Apps and enhancements affect the entire supply chain, from acquisition to sales. So this day will cover the entire spectrum. We’ll talk about which enhancements are working, how the promotion of an enhanced book changes, as well as sales strategy.
