Harlequin announced today for the same price as regular eBooks, they will now be selling Enriched Edition eBooks which will include interactive buttons with links to Web sites containing photos, historical commentaries, illustrations, sound effects, maps and articles.
This move makes Harlequin the first publisher to create and sell completely enriched e-reading material and spurs us closer toward online connectivity being an essential component for any successful eReader. Also, if we have hyperlinked eBooks, I’m thinking next step: online gaming based on Harlequin novels. God of Love anyone?
