This is now one of my favourite YouTube ad spots—maybe ever. Not only does it show how Magneto-Plastic-Prison-chic the new plastic-based e-reader display from Plastic Logic will be, it shows how strong it is by having someone off camera smack it merrily with a shoe. Several times. Then the frame switches and the Sole Assassin whacks a laptop screen a few times (different shoe, same whack-a-mole style) to show how plastic is far superior in stomping situations. I’m not making this up.
It’s also light and bendy so flight remains an option when the footless shoe comes after you—but why bother? This display can take whatever crazy punishment shoes can dish out…
