Taking boxing day momentum and driving it into the next year…from ‘Canada’s bargain hunting site’, RedFlagDeals.com. According to the president of RedFlagDeals, Boxing Day is the one day of the year everyone is thinking about shopping. December 26th, I’m thinking about how I can work off the holiday cookies/wine and I’m not sure I’m the only one—but I quibble.
RedFlag drives traffic and sales to retailer’s online sites for free (flyers, deals, contests etc). High volume transactions even on days when the bricks and mortar stores are closed. Good way to reach fanatical, early adopters and impulse buyers.
Is there an opportunity here for booksellers? This whole presentation is an ad but I’m not entirely sure if there is something here for smaller retailers. Seems kind of like a channel for big box stores and big box stores alone.
