BNC’s Speaker Series event last Thursday looked at some of the ways savvy content producers are using give-aways as part of emerging business models, specifically by expanding brands and developing loyal customers out of skeptical consumers. The boundaries of ‘free’, especially in terms of web content are ever-expanding as Mashable.com illustrates with this post about full courses available for free from reputable institutions like MIT , UC Berkeley and the W3 Consortium.
