Hi everyone! I’m Paritosh, and I’m very excited to be joining BookNet Canada as a Software Developer.
I was born and brought up in Goa, India, and moved to Canada near the end of 2020. I’m currently based in Windsor, Ontario.
I’ve been working in software development for more than 14 years, mostly in the .NET/C# world. I have a Master of Computer Applications from Goa University, and over the years I’ve worked on a variety of applications and technologies. I’m looking forward to bringing some of that experience to my work here at BookNet.
Outside of work, I’m probably happiest when I’m somewhere outdoors or on the road. I love travelling, road trips, hiking, trekking, camping, kayaking, biking, and generally finding excuses to go somewhere I haven’t been before. I’m also known among my friends for making last-minute travel plans — sometimes the planning happens after the decision to go has already been made!

I’m also into adventure sports, and one of the things I’ve tried that I absolutely loved was paragliding.
As for books, I actually used to read quite a lot back in the day. These days, my curiosity has shifted a little more towards travel and real-world experiences — seeing new places, meeting people, and learning things simply by being out there.
A few other things about me: during my school days, my family somehow ended up with nine cats at home, so I’ve had plenty of experience living with cats. I still love playing with cats and dogs, although I don’t have a pet of my own at the moment. And being from Goa, I have a particular weakness for Mankurad mangoes.
If you asked my friends to describe me, they’d probably say I’m fun-loving, helpful, and adventurous. I enjoy hanging out with friends, fooling around, and, whenever possible, turning an ordinary weekend into some sort of adventure.
I’m looking forward to meeting everyone and getting to know the BookNet team!
